Phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate (PC/DC or as we affectionately call it, lipodissolve) is an injectable fat-melter that has been around for well over a decade. It can be used essentially anywhere there is unwanted, stubborn fat. Why haven't you heard of it? Because until recently it was generic and not much money was put toward marketing it. But guess what: we found it! As did Allergan (the company that manufactures Botox® and Juvéderm®). Allergan took the DC and made deoxycholic acid, patented it, FDA-approved it (for chin only), marketed the heck out of it, jacked up the price and called it KYBELLA®. (Frankly, without the PC, it doesn't even work as well.) We offer KYBELLA®, but almost everyone chooses PC/DC as it is a fraction of the cost and more efficacious.

PC/DC breaks down the fat cell membrane so the cell is gone. For. Ever. The breakdown of cells leads to some initial swelling and inflammation after which the fat noticeably disappears within a matter of weeks. It's one of our favorite treatments because it's fast and dramatic. But be careful because it's addicting!
