What is hair removal/reduction?

The DiolazeXL by Inmode is an FDA-cleared laser hair reduction system that can treat all skin types. It uses a concentrated beam of light at a wavelength of 810 nm to target the pigment in the hair follicle and vaporizing it. DiolazeXL is a diode laser, which penetrates deeply and yields the most effective results. The diode also allows for a built-in cooling system (goodbye painful hair removal, hello silky smooth skin!).

What can I expect?

You will need to shave the day prior to your treatment. A lubricant will be applied to your skin prior to treatment (yes, some lasers require lubricant). You will likely experience slight redness and pinpoint swelling near the site of the destroyed hair follicle—this means we got it! Treatments usually take only 20-30 minutes (as opposed to nearly 40 minutes with other devices).

When will I see results?

The number of hairs will be reduced over the next few weeks. You will return for another treatment in six weeks (this is necessary for all hair reduction since we can only destroy the actively growing hair and it grows in six-week phases). Most clients will achieve desired results after four to six sessions.

How long do the results last?

The results are permanent, although you will need touch-ups over the years for the onsies or twosies of new hairs that will pop-up.

In what body areas can I get it?

Any area of hair growth with colored hairs (white hairs cannot be treated by laser since it targets pigmentation).
